Latest updates - Malicia Cavern level are ready and actually this is a stand alone level, I'll upload it on saturday this week. This level are complete with some enemies for testing, but I still didn't suply player with any weapon yet ;D. I also put some keys, doors, switch and lift within this level.
Next version will includes; fire effects, fog, health bar panel, transition between muralla town and malicia cavern.
Zeliarder, how's the game? any problem yet?

Good to see the progress on this! The town looks nice by the way Installer worked fine, game loaded up and quit properly. No major bugs but then again there's not really anything to do yet. Here are the problems I've found: Running the shortcut on the start menu gave me the error "Can't compile script". The "Start in" field is blank. Changing the "Start in" field to the base directory solved the problem (so make the install program automatically do this). When I walked close to a building, instead of the edge of the building (deck, etc.) fading from view, it "morphed". I don't have a good way of describing it, but the graphics of those objects get distorted and tend to flatten and protrude a bit. It's repeatable. The different F7 cameras were very weird to me. The player's arms move too fast! It looks funny Can't wait to see Malicia

Thanks, i really hope it will also help this forum a bit. Thanks again for finding problem in the shortcut, I'll fix it for next version. About the graphics problem, I also notice it, it's because of the 3d house model that I used. I'll find a way to solve that later. The camera function are just for testing, I'll remove that. In next version, the game will only have 3rd person camera only. Lol , actually I just grab that from default model, you have to wait until Garland are ready. enjoy!

Progress - muralla town are now link with malicia cavern, game panel added, compass added, health bar added, npc added (you can talk to some of the guards and civilian now , fog added, fire effect added (on torch), frame rate display added (you can see how fast your pc run this game on certain part) & level name display added. (all of this progress will be available in the next version download)

Zeliard demo v0.1.2 are ready now, you can download it tomorrow(saturday 22/07/06) at my site . I hope to add some of this in the next version :- collect almas, collect gold, magic shop and bank. I also need to modify muralla town and divide it into several section so I can put more people in without sacrificing game speed. One more thing, demo ver0.1.2 was included with password , so if you want to install it, you should get the password first. You can request in this forum, then I pm it to you.

Zeliard 3D demo v0.1.2 are ready guys, go get it ;D. I have remove all previous version from download section.
v0.1.2 updates - you can jump using 'S' key, strafe left & rifgt using 'Z' & 'C' key and while walking, use right 'SHIFT' key to run.
progress - I'm working on garland model now and also with weapon function. I also hope to complete collecting almas and gold function before moving to shop function.

Progress - Garland model are almost ready, some minor animation problem, but it still playable. Replace old blue player model ;D. - Sword & shield model complete, now coding for weapon and shield function. - New Zeliard logo and start-up menu. - New screen shot, see Garland on action!.

Shvegait, how about the new version? have you play it yet? Any comments? progress - Garland model move smoothly now, no funny animation . Garland now have walk, stand, fight, run, dead and jump animation. - still working with weapon code, it really difficult to made it work .

OK I played through the last version. I know it's incomplete and a lot of this you know, but here are some comments: No data saved between levels. When you come to Muralla from Malicia, you start at the beginning of Muralla, instead of the entrance to Malicia. Same works for Muralla -> Malicia, all the keys and doors stay at their original spot. Sound effects are I'm guessing the default ones available. But yeah, not Zeliard-like Frogs are really dumb. Sometimes they'll sit there sticking their tongue out even though they aren't in line with you to hit you. There's a wall in Malicia with no texture. You get the funny infinite graphics effect. The graphics problems with Muralla town are still there You don't regenerate life when standing still. I know this is more of a minor detail, but don't forget it Strafe, jump, and run all seemed to work, but one time I got "stuck" in a frog. It was weird, I couldn't really move or jump, but eventually managed to, though I instantly died. The keys and doors worked fine. Villager chat worked fine. But actually, tiny text at the bottom of the screen is not as nice as the big boxes of text in the original Zeliard. It is good to see all the progress on this. Still has a lot to go to feel like Zeliard, right now it's like a generic 3D game, but of course these things take time Btw, are you planning on doing remixes of the original music? That would be cool.

progress - still coding with weapon code , but I also has fix some problem with ver0.1.2. - infinite texture in malicia - fix - small dialog box for villagers - made a new big dialog box - garland regenerate health while standing still - fix I also have coded half of the main code that needed to made the game save between level. - The key no longer there if you have take it and return again. - Health, gold & almas stay with same amount as you travel between level. Anyone can help me with the music or sound effect? I need someone to convert sound and music from original game to wav or mp3.
